NODE has taken an important step into the future with “NODE Foresight – a world-class industry cluster” The most significant strategy is that the cluster has redefined itself, moving from a volume-based cluster to a knowledge-based cluster.

In building world-class knowledge and skills and investing in research and innovation in partnership with the best environments in the world, the cluster will develop its world-leading position and take leading positions on new markets.

In the future programme for the cluster up to 2020, we have established clear development targets for the next ten years. One important decision is that we will build our identity on being an expertise-based cluster. Eight project plans are now in their early stages and will completed during 2011. 

The eight project proposals from NODE 2020 that will be worked on are:

1.      NODE technology lab, environmental lab

2.      Future infrastructure solutions for oil, gas and wind

3.      NODE permit controls

4.      Offshore wind – marine operations

5.      Increased recovery from mature fields

6.      NODE environment

7.      NODE knowledge development

8.      From idea to business for SMB

The results of the project plans will be presented to NODE’s steering committee before any projects begin or measures are taken.
